You Can Now Rent An Apartment Designed For Your Cat – If you have, once in your life, imagined your future as a single person living with a cat, it may be that the very serious initiative of this real estate developer makes you smile. Indeed, the Japanese company Wada Kosan recently partnered with Felissimo (a brand of clothing and accessories around cats) to create very special apartments.

These cat-friendly homes in Japan indeed come specially designed for felines. And they have surely thought of everything. Addressing the target “single with a cat” these small studios offer all the necessary comfort for the two hosts. Each apartment has a very complete climbing structure allowing the cat to exercise, a litter box integrated on the floor, holes in the walls for the cat to move around and even a space under the staircase so that he can take refuge there if he is looking for a little peace.

A unique and innovative concept

Every apartment features climbing spaces, a pet door set, and an integrated litter box, among many cool features. Plus, all the materials are scratch-resistant, which means your mom can no longer blame you for not taking care of grown-up things, like a new sofa. I mean, excuse me, why am I not already there?!

A unique concept that can make you smile but that is not surprising for Japan. According to a recent study, 60% of young Japanese singles would do nothing to find love and some projections estimate that by 2040, almost half of the country’s population will be single. A situation which worries the authorities but which obviously creates opportunities which exploit this new market.

Wada Kosan is based in Hyogo Prefecture where these new cat homes are currently waiting for tenants in the city of Kobe.
