What comes to your mind when you think about Japan? Insanely fast progress, modern technology, crazy fashion, fancy cars, skyscrapers, and, as a consequence, bad ecology. All this is partly true, but the keyword here is “partly.” Japan is also a beautiful country with breathtaking nature.

In this case, you don’t need to worry as qualified specialists will gladly help you so that you can finally plan your trip.

Japan is not only about anime; here, you can discover ancient traditions, visit sacred places, and enjoy the untouched nature. All Japanese respect their history immeasurably, but at the same time, they rush into the future with the unique beauty of the natural wonders and creative heritage. In this article, we will provide you with information about the most amazing places in Japan you need to visit.

Hitachi Seaside Park

In this park, there are a lot of colorful plants, an amusement park, cafeterias, and children’s play areas, as well as a zoo with exotic animals. The blooming of one plant is followed by the blooming of another, so the vivid colors and fragrances in Hitachi always continue at any time of the year.

Forget-me-nots are of particular interest. There are about 4.5 million of these flowers, and that’s why they are considered a pride of the entire park. The forget-me-nots bloom from April to May, turning the entire park a delicate blue color. It seems as if the sky itself is temporarily falling to the ground!

Sankei-en Garden

One of the most beautiful, quiet, and comfortable places in Yokohama is the Sankei-en Garden. Here, you can rest from the bustle of the city, admire the amazing beauty of nature, see the lush variety of plants collected from different parts of the world, and visit a number of historical buildings.

In particular, these are a three-story pagoda of the 16th century, transported from Kyoto, and a tea house Choshukaku. In addition, you can visit a medieval peasant house from Gifu prefecture that introduces you to the lifestyle of the ordinary people of those times. Picturesque ponds and fragrant flowers like sakura, azaleas, chrysanthemums, and lotuses will be pleasing to the eye. Just think of all the pictures you can take there!

Kegon Falls

Japan is known for its vast number of waterfalls. One of the largest and most picturesque ones is Kegon in Nikko. Walking down the city, you can see Tokugawa’s tomb and the temple with the three monkeys. Take a bus and spend an hour going further up the mountain to Lake Chuzenji, the water of which is coming straight from the Kegon Falls.

If you don’t like walking that much, don’t worry as the caring Japanese built an elevator, which takes the tourists almost to the foot of the slope to the most amazing place for taking pictures. In addition, you can rent a boat on the lake and slowly sail along the coast. You can also visit Shinto shrines, a giant Buddha statue, and just enjoy a breathtaking view of the mountains.

Sagano Bamboo Forest

A picturesque bamboo grove of thousands of tall evergreen trees is a visiting card of the Kyoto Prefecture. Among the urban infrastructure, it is amazing to see such a green wonder. If you are on a low budget, the bamboo forest is a must-visit in Japan. Here’s what you can find in the Sagano Forest:

  • To explore the forest, you can rent a bicycle at the park entrance.
  • When the wind blows, the bamboo stems sound like music to your ears.
  • The largest bamboo stems in Sagano Forest are up to 40 meters tall.
  • There is a Sozhen pond in the forest where on its shore, you can spot various temples.

In Japan, bamboo is believed to protect against evil spirits. That’s why the tree stems were planted around the temples. The natural attractions of Japan are stunningly beautiful. All tourists who want to find inner harmony and peace should visit Sagano Forest in Arashiyama Park. This Kyoto sight can be safely included in the list of the most beautiful places on Earth.

Mount Fuji

The symbol of the Land of the Rising Sun is the sacred Mount Fuji. It’s worth seeing a close-up view of the young Fuji volcano. Many pilgrims make the ascent to this mountain. Along the way, there are some places for tourists where they can rest and then move forward. Mount Fuji is surrounded by five lakes in a bizarre arc:

  • Yamanakako. It is the largest lake at the foot of the mountain.
  • Kawaguchiko. Here, you can walk along its shore and enjoy nature.
  • Saiko. Try trout fishing there.
  • Shojiko. It is a nice place for water sports such as water skiing, jet skiing, and boating.
  • Motosuko. It is the most transparent and the deepest lake.

Majestic Peak Fuji is reflected in its clear and calm waters like in a mirror. Nearby is a pleasant picnic spot, the 26-meter-high Shiraito Waterfall. The area around Mount Fuji is a great place to get a closer look at the natural attractions of Japan.

Chichibu Hitsujiyama Park

On the largest island of the Japanese archipelago, Honshu, there is the town of Chichibu (Saitama Prefecture). Here, you can find one of the most picturesque parks in the country, which is called Hitsujiyama. Its territory is an integral part of the Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park.

The amazing thing about Hitsujiyama is that every year from April to May, its land turns into a carpet of blooming purple-pink phlox. This herbaceous plant of the Polemoniaceae family will catch your eye with its stunningly beautiful bloom that spreads a sweet-scented fragrance in the air. Besides, there are about 1,000 sakura trees, weeping cherry trees, shrubs, and flowers.

City of Nara

If you are a true animal lover and want to save money, walking through the city of Nara will be a real pleasure for you. Here, you can spot hundreds of reindeer walking through the streets, where they are loved and respected. If you want to make friends with a deer, you can buy special food for them and treat these meek animals.

On the Sarusawa-ike pond, you can spot cute turtles. They crawl out to the surface and bask in the sun. A trip to Naru is also a treasure for art lovers. By the way, you can take a picture of the giant statue of Buddha that is situated in the Todai-ji Temple. The structure of the temple itself is probably the oldest of all the wooden temples.

To Wrap It Up

The culture and traditions of Japan are appealing because of their tranquil beauty and poise. Each detail of architectural monuments and amazing buildings has its own deep meaning and history. Millions of tourists every year come to this amazing country to contemplate the wonderful scenery and enjoy the local sights. If you are also the one who is planning to visit Japan, take into account all the places listed above. Japan is the country that will bring you only positive vibes and bright memories and make you fall in love at first sight.
